Rant About Things
If the direction of a series is not what you like, but it continues to get attention, getting angry at other people for not sharing your negative opinion is toxic. I have heard people seriously use this line of thinking, trying to blame 'dumb consumers' for letting Pokemon, or Nintendo, or w/e 'get away' with things the speaker doesn't like. And that's the toxic approach. You want to know the tough truth you don't want to accept when you do this? You're in the minority. That's what it means. It means what you consider to be a grievous offence is, by more people, considered simply a minor inconvenience or just not worth worrying about. It means you're outnumbered. It doesn't make either viewpoint more or less valid, but it does mean you have to buck up and deal with that fact that more people don't agree with you than do. Attacking people, even as a nameless mass, over this is immature and childish. Does it suck to be outnumbered? Yeah, sure. But that's how subjective things work
AI Art: My Perspective
This is honestly something really minor. There's been stuff lately about A.I. art and worries of it replacing proper artists, and it does seem like businesses are eager to not pay artists. But in my view, all this does for businesses is delay the inevitable. Because, of course, the people who make these tools, and the people who know how to get them to produce workable pieces, will quickly realize that they, too, want and deserve to get paid for their work. Just imagine you, either alone or part of a team, have spent years of learning programming, research, and development and testing to get an A.I. art generator to a point where big budget projects come to you and use it for production. If they're going to be making money from a project that used your art generator, then you're going to want to receive some of the pay right? It would be absolutely deserved, these tools are the result of 70 years worth of computer science. There's as much work gone into developing a tool capable of
Genshin Impact doujin script
Or something like that. It's a fan fiction as a rough doujin/manga/graphic novel script. I had this idea, like, a month and a half ago or something, and my slow writing and poor ability to focus made it take a while. But it's done, it's about Venti and Aether, it's not dirty or even shipping, just a bit of an exploration of Venti's character, his and Aether's friendship, and it's canon compliant. Takes place after Venti's story quest and the defeat of Osial, but before the meeting with Dainsleif and Lumine. And before Zhongli's speech dialogue option where the Traveler is drunk. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YSbL9o414jhPtU_NzoldnPTlagpZvbFk/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=109931152415644977070&rtpof=true&sd=true
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Fantastic movie, go see it if you like Godzilla. Suffering more from release timing than from anything else, it's being lashed by critics who're too shallow and focused on celebrity cameos and humans (as usual) that they fail to see the symbolism in it, or simply fail to accept that it's beyond them.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters pays homage to, and incorporates elements of, all previous incarnations of the Godzilla franchise. Just as its predecessor did. The campiness of the 'science' given in Showa, the serious approach of Heisei and X, and the symbolism of the original 54 film. Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a fun story, exciting at t
